Half Moon Bay Little League

HMBLL is celebrating its 56th year of youth baseball, where we are not only helping shape children for the future, but are giving them life long skills for positive development that will help them grow and thrive.

What it Takes:

HMBLL takes over $100,000 annually to operate, with registration fees covering only a portion of what is needed. We rely on additional fundraising to sustain our program. Thanks to our community’s generosity, we are able to fund essential expenses like field maintenance, uniforms, equipment, umpires, clinics, and operations. Beyond these costs, we aim to improve batting cages, fields, and bleachers. This year we have the additional cost of adding another field at Hatch Elementary School, which involves grading the area, getting more dirt, bases, bleachers, benches, etc.

Youth baseball offers a wide range of benefits, including improved physical health through enhanced coordination, strength, and endurance, while promoting outdoor activity and fitness. It fosters social development by teaching teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship, and helps build friendships and a sense of community. The game also instills valuable life skills such as discipline, patience, and perseverance, while boosting self-confidence and resilience. Additionally, youth baseball promotes academic growth by improving time management, focus, and goal-setting, and can lead to scholarships and future opportunities. It strengthens family bonds, encourages community involvement, and fosters a lifelong love of the game.
