Cleaning and restoring the coast since 1997.

The Pacific Beach Coalition (PBC) is an award-winning 501(c)(3) ocean conservation nonprofit committed to ending litter and preserving the ocean, coastal habitat, and wildlife through advocacy, education, and community action. The PBC has been a steward of the coast since 1997 engaging 10,000+ volunteers each year.

We're honored to be a part of Coastside Gives for the first time!

"Thank you so much for the devoted work you do in the community to preserve our ocean and protect the coastal wildlife and habitat that we cherish." - National Charity League Coastside

We clean the beaches in your neighborhood! PBC hosts 10 cleanups and 3 habitat restorations along the coast every month.

During events, volunteers of all ages learn about the harmful effects of trash and toxins in our waterways, restore precious coastal ecosystems, and get inspired to take action.

We bring education about local ocean species to Half Moon Bay and coastside schools.

Our school assemblies reach and inspire more than 4,000 students annually. Professional speakers captivate young Earth Heroes with their interactive programming about our Earth Honoree, the dangers of marine litter, and the importance of the ocean. School programs are supported by field programs such as cleanups that offer experiential learning outdoors.

Our promise to you and the coastline.

We believe that every coastline is worth protecting, every piece of plastic removed from our streets and shores is a step toward a cleaner ocean, and every person who joins us is a beacon of hope for the future of our coastal communities. We also believe that every place deserves stewardship and that every volunteer who joins in habitat restoration connects deeply with the earth — and each other.
