Our Power Hour is 3 to 3:59 PM on Thursday May 2nd. You can help BGCC earn $1000 prize for the most unique donors by donating during this time. A unique donor is defined by a change in the email address. In addition, all donors to our Power Hour will be matched thanks to Gaylord and Nancy Galiher AND will be entered into a drawing for one of ten It's Italia gift cards. Each donation with a different email is an entry!

Our Impact
For thirty years, BGCC has supported the Coastside providing programs and services that positively impact local youth. Thanks for being a part of our success!
Here are some examples of how BGCC steps up for the Coast:
BGCC offers comprehensive after-school programs, including tutoring, mentoring, homework help, access to computers and internet, fitness, and enrichment for students in grades 5 to 12.
BGCC provides an on-site Youth Behavioral Specialist for social and emotional support for staff, Members and their families.
BGCC funds and manages BGCC~Cunha After-School Athletics, which offers 8 sports -- basketball, cross country, flag football, soccer, tennis, track and field, volleyball, and wrestling -- for over 450 girls and boys in middle school.
BGCC sponsors the Pumpkin Bots, a competitive robotics team for high school students to offer local Coastside students real-life STEM experiences.
BGCC hosts a Teen Center offering a welcoming space for high school students providing help with homework, college and job applications, and community service opportunities.
BGCC supports working families with camps during school breaks for youth in grades 1 to 8.
BGCC is the first employer for many local high school graduates, giving young adults valuable work experience and providing young people with role models they can connect with and respect.
BGCC offers afterschool snacks and lunch when school is closed during the summer.
BGCC offers engaging kid-approved summer camps focused on: cooking, field games, arts and crafts, pool visits, and local field trips.
BGCC has the strictest safety protocols of any out-of-school program including annual background checks, staff certified in AED/CPR/First-Aid, trauma-informed training, Big Five Emergency Plans.
BGCC opened remote learning pods for youth without internet access during the pandemic.
BGCC partners to provide additional sports opportunities, including:
⚽ Half Moon Bay Soccer Club serves over 150 competitive soccer players ages 8 to 18
🏀 Coastside Basketball offers developmental and competitive experiences for girls and boys through programs managed by Steven Mooney, Gabe Glynn and John Parsons
⛳ Half Moon Bay Golf Links introduces golf to girls and boys and helps experienced players prepare for competitive high school golf teams.
BGCC helped raise funds to build and maintain facilities, including:
- Event Center
- Cunha Soccer Complex and tennis courts
- Half Moon Bay High School baseball field, softball field, and football fields.
- Skate Park at the Ted Adcock Community Center
Your contributions fund academic, sports, social-emotional, and enrichment programs for 1100+ youth and build/maintain facilities used by 5000+ community members.
