Help Will move into Big Wave

Will turns 28 years old next month, and what a journey it’s been! He has grown into a kind, gentle, happy and bright young man. And like many other young adults with autism or other intellectual and developmental disabilities, he is ready to move on and begin a more independent life in a new home.

Big Wave will be that home, providing Will with the community and support he needs to succeed and thrive. If you ask Will what he is most looking forward to at Big Wave, he says it's pizza nights, weekly dances, and the occasional karaoke with his new friends. If you ask me what I am most looking forward to, it's knowing that Will is going to be able to live his life in a caring and supportive environment where he is treated with dignity and respect.Construction of the Big Wave Center is now in full swing, and it’s truly remarkable to see the progress. But we’re not there yet. We have yet to build the on-site training kitchen and the day program area which will provide residents with opportunities to learn valuable job skills and participate in continuing education. We’re also trying to fund several apartments for young adults with special needs who have extremely limited financial resources.

Please help us cross the finish line. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in Will’s life and the lives of others in the Big Wave community.
